Researching Your House’s History – Save the date

Greetings:

Without a doubt the most frequently asked question we get at OLHD is “What is my house’s history?” or “How do I research my house’s history?”

The research required in researching the history of one’s house can be a challenge, and can vary widely depending on the age and location of the house.  But there are some basic steps that one can follow to get started.

The Genealogical Forum of Oregon is ready to help us, by offering a workshop devoted to researching your house’s history, with a focus on Multnomah and Clackamas Counties.  Connie Lenzen will be conducting the workshop Sunday, January 31st from 9 a.m. to noon at the GFO library.

So mark the date on your calendar, and periodically check the GFO website for details about this, and other, events.  Go to     http://www.gfo.org/
